So Disappointed words can't begin to explain

My daughter order eggs over medium, potatoes, french toast and turkey sausage link. I ordered chicken sausage links, eggs over easy, potatoes and wheat toast. I haven't been this DISAPPOINTED in breakfast in 16years. It's only food, but no one cared. My daughter eggs were over easy with cold potatoes... she sent it back. My eggs and potatoes were also cold. The potatoes looked like they had been sitting out for at least 30 minutes. I want to let everyone know to stay clear of the Oakland Grill. I will tell my Real Estate Team to make another choice. Never again.
Pros: corner spot, got a good seat, To eat somewhere else
Cons: Chef awful, cold food, waited a long time
Great weekend breakfast

I love "The Grill" for weekend brunch/breakfast. For a true cholesterol bomb, try the chicken liver omelet -- it's so good, but I'm scared to think of all those eggs and all those livers going down the gullet. The staff is always friendly. Parking is reasonable on the weekends, as the wholesale produce markets are closed.
Fresh, good and reliable...

Can't go wrong with this place which is essentially a diner offering American staples like fluffy omelettes and waffles, thick burgers and yummy fries, homemade soups and hearty pastas. The place has been there since at least the mid-90's and has not really changed its approach but why mess with what works? It's located a few short blocks from Jack London Square in the whole-sale produce section of the Oakland waterfront. All that fresh produce clearly makes it into the menu. The service was great too. Worth a trip.
